Methodology, rights & limitations
Evidence reviewed through 2026-10-06. Approved public edition.
What this edition contains
This deliberately selected edition contains 389 research records, 1384 short factual claims and 500 primary-source citation entries covering 491 distinct source URLs. Sources were re-read for this edition. It is not an exhaustive inventory, a physical inspection or a certification of operations.
Names, operators, cities and record classifications have field-level citations. Technical, commercial, location and lifecycle claims retain their own sources. A source reporting a claim is different from independent confirmation that its real-world condition exists today.
Records can describe a facility, campus, project, phase, tenant, region or historical site. Do not treat the record count as a count of separate operating buildings. Related sites and phases can overlap; no national capacity or GPU total is produced.
Dates, status and quantity
- An evidence date is the date attached to the underlying statement or event. An access date records when the page was checked. An undated source remains undated.
- Lifecycle filters use only claims explicitly tagged as facility or project lifecycle evidence. “Reported” ownership, a published address or a cooling configuration does not establish that a facility is operating.
- Filters match at record level. A record matching a lifecycle filter and a capacity category can contain separate claims; this does not prove the capacity was operating.
- Utility supply, IT load, design capacity, generation and unspecified operator-advertised MW are different quantities. Phases and ranges retain qualifiers. Values are never summed.
- Missing data means this selected edition has no reviewed public value. It does not mean a facility lacks that capability. Sources can change or disappear after the review.
Location precision
Every map marker in this edition is a city reference. A primary source must support the named city, and the city must have a unique exact normalized name match in its province in the GeoNames Canadian gazetteer. Ambiguous cities, regional descriptions, counties and unmatched places are intentionally unpinned.
City coordinates are rounded to four decimal places for compact storage. The decimal count does not mean facility precision. Multiple records in a city share a grouped marker. An independently cited street address in a profile is separate evidence and is never converted into an exact facility pin here.
The bundled Natural Earth basemap is generalized regional geography. Coastlines and administrative boundaries are approximate and may not align at street scale. This is not a navigation, cadastral or security-planning tool.
Licensing & attribution
Source pages and their copyrighted text, images, logos and layouts remain the property of their owners. This edition links to them and uses short, independently written factual descriptions. It does not redistribute source articles, datasheets, screenshots or source-page extracts.
Expressly restricted directory material and sources with unresolved data-republication restrictions have been withheld. The owner has approved publication of this screened selection. This screening is not a legal opinion or a declaration that every source permits redistribution.
Where a source has an explicitly reviewed conditional reuse route, its required notice and terms link are retained with the evidence. This grants no sublicense or general permission to reuse that publisher’s content.
No blanket open-data licence is granted for this edition. Public website access does not itself license the underlying source content. No general reuse licence is granted for Clarion’s original contributions. Separately licensed third-party material retains its stated terms. The JSON and CSV downloads contain the same selected claims as the interface.

Privacy and operation
The application runs entirely in the browser from a versioned static snapshot. It uses no analytics, cookies, third-party map tiles, external fonts, accounts, owner-only APIs or AI calls. Source links leave this site when selected. The hosting provider may process ordinary request metadata under its own privacy policy; this statement does not imply zero server logging.
Search and comparisons are browser-only. There are no private research tools, saved account preferences or live data refreshes. New facts require a reviewed snapshot and a complete release.
