How to cite a claim

Open a record profile and use its permanent claim link. The version-specific page retains the claim ID, qualification, evidence date, access date and primary sources. Include the edition identifier and your own retrieval date when citing. The current profile may advance to a newer edition.

Data dictionary and interpretation

record_id / record_kind

Stable research identity and its scope: a facility, campus, project, phase, tenant, region or historical record. Records can overlap; they are not a building census.

assertion_id / value

Stable claim identifier and independently worded, source-reported statement. Each claim retains source_ids; CSV carries source_urls.

category / attribute

The subject and reviewed field of a claim. A claim category is not an operational-status classification.

status / status_subject

The reported state and what that state describes. Only facility_lifecycle_filter_eligible claims drive lifecycle filters.

scope / phase / qualifier

The boundaries and qualifications of a statement. Preserve these when quoting, comparing or computing.

numeric_value / unit / capacity_type / capacity_basis

A qualified reported quantity. Utility supply, IT load, design capacity and generation are different measures. No national MW or GPU sum is supported.

evidence_date / evidence_date_precision

Date of the underlying statement or event, with its actual precision. Undated evidence stays null. This is distinct from accessed_date and publication_date.

accessed_date / evidence_review_date

When the source was checked and the edition review cutoff. Neither is proof of current operation, commissioning or source availability.

publication_date / revision

The edition publication date recorded in its metadata and its scope-bound version identifier. A later presentation release is not a factual refresh.

field_provenance / source_ids

Citations for identity fields and individual claims. Sources carry title, publisher, URL, dates and applicable rights notices.

placement / placement_kind / placement_precision

A reviewed city reference, never a surveyed building or facility pin. Missing or ambiguous city matches remain unpinned.

null / missing values

No retained reviewed value, not zero or evidence that a capability is absent.

Formats and integrity

JSON contains metadata, records and sources. The CSV has one row per claim, repeats record identity, preserves source URLs and qualifications, and neutralizes spreadsheet formula-like text. The manifest hashes the exact current data files. Retained editions preserve their original published data bytes; older editions are historical evidence, not additional facilities or newer facts.

This permission applies only to material Clarion has the right to authorize. It does not license linked source websites or third-party text, images, databases, software, fonts or geodata, and does not override their stated terms or required notices. No blanket open-data licence, endorsement or accuracy warranty is implied.
